2009 Summer Camp Programs
NOTICE: Family Camp is quickly approaching. Family Camp will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25. Cost: $50 per person, $100 per family, what a deal, as this covers food costs as well as lodging. Reserve a space by May 16, and let us know your preference for lodging, when arriving, etc. We hope to see you there, come for the weekend or come for a day. All sorts of activities will be available, including boating and the waterfront, campfires, games and lots of free time. NOTICE: Summer camp is fast approaching. Please make your reservation for your campers to be sure they get the camp you want and to request a space with a friend. On that note, anyone referring a new camper with a paid registration (didn't attend the last two summers) will receive a $10 (TEN) dollar credit at the camp store. NOTICE: New games are coming to Ashmere this summer, including GAGA and carpet ball, as well as a new low ropes course. Are YOU ready for some fun??? Join us now! REGISTER Explorations These sessions are specifically designed to help campers in grades 4 through 6 explore their world. From brand new activities like EcoHikes and our Initiatives Course to camp classics like Archery, Crafts, and Swimming, campers will be challenged to expand their horizons, rediscover old favorites, and, as always, have fun! Senior Adventure Camp This new offering for 2009 invites campers in grades 7 through 12 to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually through high adventure. Adventure Camp includes off-site trips for caving, climbing, and high ropes experiences. Don’t miss the adventure! Senior Traditions The classic Ashmere experience for campers in grades 7 through 10! Come enjoy the beautiful waterfront, spiritual refreshment, and exciting games and activities that have made summers at Ashmere a tradition for over 90 years. Leadership Training Camp (LTC) For those in grades 9 through 11, we now offer a brand new Leadership Training Camp! Get first-hand leadership experience working as Counselor-in-Training with our Day Campers, be mentored by our college-age Counseling staff, and be challenged by specially tailored Bible studies and evening programs. Admission by application only. (Application Coming Soon) Day Camp Once again, Camp Ashmere is offering a Day Camp experience for campers who will be entering grades 1 through 4. This camp introduces campers to the fun, growth, and excitement of Ashmere through age-appropriate programming. Activities include swimming instruction, large and small group outdoor games, introductions to the environment, and Bible studies. Ashmere Day Camp is a cost-effective, low-stress, and enjoyable way to introduce children to the joys of sumamping! Sports Camp and Arts Camp In 2009, both Arts Camp and Sports Camp will each have its own week! These specialty camps for those in grades 5 through 8 feature unique activities and off-site trips tailored for those with athletic or artistic interests. Enrollment is limited, allowing you to enjoy the offerings of Ashmere and beyond with a group of soon-to-be close friends. |
